Jesús Jiménez López,  holds a Law degree and has served as a career civil servant in the Junta de Andalucía since 1995.

He is Director of the Consejo de Transparencia y Protección de Datos de Andalucía, elected by Parliament, since 2021.

He most recently served as Head of the Legal Cabinet of the Junta de Andalucía from 2012 to 2021, during which time he was also a member of the Consultative Council of Andalucía, the highest consultative body in the region.

His extensive legal career includes serving as Director of Legal Advisory for the Andalusian Railways Agency and as Head of Legal Advisory for various regional ministries including Culture, Public Works and Urban Planning. Mr. Jiménez López has significant experience in administrative law and public governance, having acted as Secretary to numerous governing bodies and boards within Andalusia’s public sector, and is a frequent speaker and contributor to publications on data protection, public transparency, public administration, regulatory frameworks, and digital governance.
