HANNAH MCCAUSLAND

MEMBER, MANAGEMENT TEAM FOR INTERNATIONAL REGULATORY COOPERATION AT THE UK INFORMATION COMMISSIONER’S OFFICE (ICO)

Hannah McCausland is a member of the Management Team for International Regulatory Cooperation at the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). The ICO International Team is the entry point for other data protection authorities on international matters, ensuring effective representation of the ICO’s interests on the global stage.

Hannah has led the ICO’s involvement at several past Spring Conferences of European DPAs, and was previously adviser on the ICO’s work at the EU’s EDPB and its predecessor, the Article 29 Working Party. Hannah oversees work at the Council of Europe, OECD and other international multi-lateral institutions. 

Prior to the ICO, Hannah has worked in both Brussels and Amsterdam for almost 10 years, advising thousands of small and large multinational businesses on effective public affairs strategies on the development of the EU GDPR and wider digital competition and consumer protection in the media and research sectors
