Endre Győző SZABÓ is a lawyer and has a PhD Degree. He has been active in the field of data protection for more than two decades. His experience includes working for data protection authority at national level and also for the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS). He chaired the DAPIX data protection Working Group within the Council in the first semester of 2011. He had been attending the Article 29 Working Party meetings and later the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) meetings on a regular basis and chaired the Cooperation Expert Subgroup of the EDPB for many years. In 2019 he was a shortlisted candidate for the position of the EDPS. In his current position he is working now as Data Protection Coordinator of Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Union.
