Rafael Pérez Galindo is an official of the Spanish Government’s Senior Corps for Information Technologies, appointed Director of the Division for International Relations in the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) and representative of Spain to the European Data Protection Board.

Prior to this, he served as Deputy Director-General for Digital Society in the State Secretariat for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, where he dealt with regulation and supervision of digital services, e-identification, e-privacy, data, cybersecurity, digital rights and Internet Governance.

He holds degrees in Law and in Telecommunication Engineering.

Prior to this, he worked for eight years in the private sector in consultancy areas for different firms
