Lasma Dilba has been working as Deputy director of the Latvian Data State Inspectorate since 2017. She is a qualified lawyer, with master’s degree in law (Latvian University).
Previously, Lasma Dilba worked for 8 years in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia as the head of the Litigation Department, before that as the deputy head of the Legal Department of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs.
Lasma Dilba actively participated in the development of national regulations for the application of the General Data Protection Regulation in Latvia and in the process of harmonizing other national regulatory acts with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation.
She is in charge of the implementation of the preventive and supervising functions of the Data State Inspectorate.
