DR. OTAR CHAKHUNASHVILI

MODERATOR - FIRST DEPUTY HEAD – PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION SERVICE OF GEORGIA

Dr. Otar Chakhunashvili is the First Deputy President of Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia. He completed his Ph.D. in Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University between 2014 and 2021. Prior to this, he obtained an LL.M. in Law in 2013 and a Bachelor’s degree in Law in 2010, both from the Tbilisi State University.

Before assuming his current position, Dr. Chakhunashvili served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at LEPL – Public Service Hall from 2021 to 2022. He also held significant roles in governmental bodies, including Head of the Reforms Coordination and Monitoring Department at the Ministry of Defence (2020-2021) and Head of the Public and Private Sector Supervision Department at the State Inspector Service (2019-2020). Dr. Chakhunashvili’s expertise extends to University, where he has been a Visiting Lecturer at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University since 2015. His dedication to education complements his practical experience in the legal field.
