Álvaro Veloso is an experienced civil servant, lawyer with a Law Degree from the Autónoma University of Madrid (UAM) and Master’s Degree in International Public Relations from the French School of Government (ENA). Prior to his current position, Álvaro Veloso has served as General Secretary of Civil Aviation in the Ministry of Transports and representative of Spanish Civil Aviation at International Conferences, EU, and ICAO. He worked as Head Deputy of budget and Financial Management to the Social Service Entity in the Ministry of Labour in Madrid.

He is currently working as Senior Advisor at the International Relations Division in the ES SA and is member of various EDPB’s subgroups of experts such as ITS, FM ESG and KEYP ESG. He is leading the DT on age verification criteria in the KEYP-ESG and is one of the EDPB’s representatives in the TF created by the EC on this field.
