Ana Tokhadze

Seconded Policy Advisor, Council of Europe / Deputy Head of Department, State Audit Office of Georgia

Ana Tokhadze is a data protection and AI advisor at the Digital Development Unit and Data Protection Unit of the Council of Europe, serving as a seconded official from the State Audit Office of Georgia, where she holds the position of the Deputy Head of International Relations Department.

She is a Teaching Assistant and Ph.D. candidate at the Faculty of Law of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia). She is a graduate of a certificate programme in European Digital Law at the Institute for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law, University of Münster (Germany).

She is also a certified Mediator and a member of the Georgian Bar Association. Her legal expertise is complemented by research fellowship at European academic institutions, such as the University of Limerick (Ireland), the TalTech Law School in Tallinn (Estonia), the European University Viadrina (Germany), and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law (Germany).

She has authored several academic papers in the fields of company law, privacy law and personal data protection.
